Triton 500 - Ruecksendung in die USA

Da mein Geraet ja nun nichts mehr macht, bleibt nur die Ruecksendung zum Verkaeufer mit Rueckabwicklung des Kaufes (unter Verlust von 5% wenn ich die AGB richtig verstehe).

Habe leider keine Erfahrung mit dem Versand von Sachen in die USA. Hat jemand eine Empfehlung, wie ich das Geraet, moeglichst versichert und guenstig, nach New York bekomme?

Das beste was ich bisher gefunden habe ist DHL fuer 32 EUR als Paket.

Faellt eine Garantieabwicklung aus?

Schliesslich ist das Geraet durch ein Update kaputt gegangen.

Die Transportkosten traegt bei Ruecksendungen aus dem Ausland der Ruecksender. Bei dem Shop wo ich gekauft habe, TigerGPS.com, gilt folgendes:

As of the day TigerGPS.com ships your order, we offer a 60-day return policy on all items unless otherwise noted on the individual product page. Your return must be received at our location by the 60th day after shipment of your order or your return will be refused. After the 60-day period, customers must contact the manufacturer for direct return or repair information.

TigerGPS.com will exchange defective units and parts to the customer with no restocking fees. Customers seeking to return for a refund, not exchange, defective items will be subject to a 5% restocking fee. Customers may also replace defective items with other items of equal or greater value with no fees; you are not obligated to replace with the same model.

For unopened items, there is no return fee to receive TigerGPS.com store credit or exchange for another item of equal or greater value, but to receive a refund there is a 5% restocking fee

For opened items (excluding software), there is a 5% fee to receive TigerGPS.com store credit, or a 10% fee to receive a refund.

All exchanged/returned merchandise must be in original factory condition, including all packaging materials, inserts and manuals, and all accessories. For this reason, units that have been installed, severely scratched, abused, or that are missing the original UPC code on the box will not be accepted for return or credit and must be returned directly via the manufacturer. In addition, any software, including pre-programmed datacards, that have been opened can only be returned directly to the manufacturer. We can only offer a refund using the form of payment originally used by the customer.

TigerGPS.com cannot be held responsible for packages until they are delivered to us, so please use a trackable and insured means of shipping (UPS or Fedex) or at least get Delivery Confirmation with USPS priority mail. For most returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping fees. For all international returns and exchanges, the customer is responsible for freight both ways. For domestic customers exchanging defective merchandise only, TigerGPS.com will reimburse ground shipping fees if you send us your shipping receipt, up to $6.95.

Please do not tape or write anything on the item or the package! Before you send merchandise back, please be sure to check that you have not left any of your own memory cards or other accessories in the unit.

Hallo Stefan,

DHL funktioniert gut. Ich hab damit schon einiges um die Welt geschickt. Als Premium Paeckchen ist das Ganze bis zu 500 Euro versichert. Kostenpunkt ist meiner Meinung nach 26 Euro. Ohne Premium und Versicherung (nicht empfehlenswert) kostet es 13 Euro.

Wichtig ist die Deklaration als Retoursendung. Kontaktiere auch vorher TigerGPS wegen der Ruecksendung. Vielleicht brauchst du eine RMA Nummer.
