The size of this file is too big. Is it possible to get. Could you only upload a particular part of the map please? Or could you explain to me, how I could do it myself?
It would be really nice
"MID", "NE" and "SW" are not a files. They are folders. You can click on folder's name and you will get inside a folder. And there are many .zip files inside a folder (such as Norway_SASz16_MID_2mpp_A_06.tif.zip, etc).
And you can choose several files or folders (use checkboxes) and click "download" button ("Скачать" in russian)
So, for example, you can click on checkbox "MID" and then click on "download" button. And you will get a zip file with packed content of "MID" folder. After that you can download "NE" folder at same way.
But "SW" folder is too big, and you have to go inside this folder and download "file-by-file" or better choose a group of files and download it, and then choose a second group of files, etc. As far as I know, the limit is 2GB.
After all you should unzip all files and you will be able to open them in VantagePoint.
dimonster2 wrote:I think that you need Navionics marine maps. It is possible to convert Navionics on-line web maps into RMP format. What region of sea do you need?
There is a problem with "navionics" today.
But there are some "water" maps at http://data.kartverket.no/download/
I'll try to convert a piece of that maps for the place you showed into Magellan format.
I am not sure about ExpertGPS software. I've never used it for map conversion. I found old cracked version of ExpertGPS, and it works horrible.
And there are a lot of other software tools fot Magellan map creation.
By the way, navionics server "unbanned" me, and I will try to download the map of desired place for you.
Done. Special 4 u. https://cloud.mail.ru/public/8hum/D7S95xdui
There are several files. Each zoom level in a single file. Unfortunately, the set of zoom levels of web maps is uncompatible with the set of zoom levels of Magellan GPS units. I recommend to use "z11", "z12", "z14", "z16" and "z18" levels.
And here is the link to new .zmp file for marine maps https://yadi.sk/d/QvCIARSl3DxnXw
Download it, unpack it and copy unpacked "_water" folder to SASPlanet\Maps\sas.plus.maps folder replacing old files.
Note: n a v i o n i c s web server is very slowly, and it can block access to the tile-server if you try to download too big amount of tiles.
.... komisch
