Last week we were trying to resolve the problem with "booting issue" from SDHC cards.
I believe we have a solution with script, and now we need your help to test this out.
This script has two purposes:
1. to check that your card will be bootable with ViaGPS software
2. to extract SD ID number required for ViaGPS purchase
I attached zip file with three files in it:
ToCopy.exe
SCIDFactory.exe program for extracting SD ID number
Autorun.gth our script
Please extract all three files on your SDHC card and hard reset your Triton1500/2000,
if everything goes well you will see white screen of the
SCIDFactory.exe, and by tapping on the screen, SD ID will be displayed and saved in
StorageCardIds.txt file.
If you have problems with booting please post here or PM me.
Script
Autorun.gth itself is really simple:
Code: Select all
...
SetDlgText("SD ID starting ...");
Sleep(5000);
ShExecuteWait(FullFileName$("SCIDFactory.exe"),-1);
...
just wait 5 second ( 5000 miliseconds ) for Triton to read FAT table of SD(HC) card and then run the
SCIDFactory.exe
The problem is that there is a bug in Magellan software,
the more files you have on SD card the more time Triton need to read FAT table.
So if the script didn't work for the first time on your SD card, just increase
to 10000 or more, or remove some files from SD card.
This files will also be required for ordering ViaGPS software, since you will need to send us the ID number of the SD(HC) card which you want to use for ViaGPS software.
If testing shows that there are no more problems with booting from SD(HC) cards, next week we will start selling ViaGPS for foreign customers.
Thanks to all who will participate in testing
